My Man Godfrey (screwball Comedy Heaven)

My Man Godfrey is a delightful comedy made in 1937, stars The Thin Man's, William Powell and Carole Lombard.
I just had pleasure of seeing this film for the first time the other day and was absolutely in love with the characters and the way the film can pull off being soo incredibly nutty, but i guess that is the charm of Screwball Comedies.
William Powell plays Godfrey Smith/Park the "forgotten man" living in a New York City dump. Godfrey had lost his fortune due to the economic depression. Until one night the dizzy but lovely Irene Bullock played by Carole Lombard comes across him and decidedly falls head over heels for Godfrey. He hires him as The Bullocks family butler. He "butles" with the nut bar family for over a year and eventually helps the family out with their financial woes. the film is very easy to watch and never gets dull.
It has recently been made into colour on DVD. (how they do that, i do not no!), i didn't have the privilege, instead watched it on a poorly restored dvd, but all the same was a wonderful fun film.

Sunday Morning Errand, Paris. 1958
I recently stumbled across one of nana's old photograhy books photos taken by Henri Cartier Bresson. I just fell in love with the picture of the boy on his "Sunday Morning Errand". His face shows so much glee and proudness with his wine lol. its enough to make anyone smile. Henri Cartier - Bresson was a founder of the prestigious Magnum photography company.

"Magnum is a community of thought, a shared human quality, a curiosity about what is going on in the world, a respect for what is going on and a desire totranscribe it visually." -Henri Cartier-Bresson
