Lucky Three (1996)

Lately I've just been listening repeatedly to Elliott Smith's posthumous compilation album New Moon, Its just so Good! so I'm in a bit of an Elliott Smith phase at the moment, which I am in, every so often,  Here's a wonderful short  called Lucky Three (directed by Jem Cohen), an 11min portrait of Elliott Smith, performing Between The Bars, Thirteen, Angeles and features Baby Britain (instrumental between the songs) in Portland, Oregon.
He always succeeds in making me feel better when I feel fucked up lol, his music is great like that, a beautiful remedy.
and I just heard about the Introduction to ..Elliott Smith album that was released earlier this month, I thought that was pretty smashing :)
enjoy the clip..

Love the song Thirteen by Elliot Smith. He makes the song so personal, in spite of it being a cover of Big Star .

I first heard it on this playlist on amazon, which I highly recommend checking out. Some really good acoustic songs there:

cool will do thanks.
Totally he makes it sound like he wrote it, I think why the songs elliott covered sound so personal I can imagine is because he might of only covered songs that meant a great deal to him.
